In the face of input shortages and rising costs, it’s crucial to maximize the effectiveness of your chemicals. Many pesticides, whether they contain multiple active ingredients or just one, often require chemical recirculation. This is especially true for formulations that include atrazine, which mandates recirculation. Pesticide formulations may also contain spray adjuvants or additives that help active ingredients mix better with the spray carrier. Always adhere to the product label, as recirculation requirements and recommendations can vary. When in doubt, recirculate!
To ensure each batch from the pesticide container is consistently effective and safe, thoroughly recirculate the contents before dispensing and periodically as the container is being emptied. When in doubt, recirculate!
Many automated sprayer loading systems today use a venturi in the plumbing to draw in liquid products from a source tank or rely on gravity flow into an inductor cone or batch tank. Unfortunately, neither method allows for proper chemical recirculation or mixing.
The Dura Auto-Batch™ Direct Injection system is designed with built-in recirculation capabilities. Each Auto-Batch™ Direct Injection system kit includes a three-way valve. In one position, the liquid flow from the pump is injected into the carrier stream. In the second position, the flow is directed to a 1” camlock adapter, which can be used for calibrating the meter or recirculating the pesticide.
